Ooof, this was a bloody good reminder to not be a twat and enjoy the moment more than the milk 🙈 thank you Peta!

English breakfast with a dash of cows milk! But I live in England where tea is LIFE!

I eat so differently in England and I love it (butterfly cupcakes thanks!!) my second pregnancy was in London the whole time and gosh… that baby boy was nourished (they all were, but he was ‘English’ nourished

I know exactly what you mean by 'English' nourished! I am from Perth originally and moved to England just over 2 years ago with my husband and 2 children and definitely notice the vast differences between the two places on so many levels I genuinely wasn't expecting! I LOVE it here in East Sussex!

Peppermint tea or if I must have a milky something (and they don’t have matcha or “clean” nut milk options) then I’ll go for a cacao or loose chai leaf tea with bonsoy milk.

Yum!!! Love a chai

London fog with non-fat milk and an extra shot of sugar-free vanilla... Or, regular milk. Or, regular vanilla. Cause that floral taste of the tea and the extra shot of froth are all I need, no matter the details, for a hot bev at a local—if not, spontaneous, cafe! Beautiful read x Can't wait for the ebook!

Chai latte or turmeric latte please! Sometimes I’ll go with the less than ideal dairy and other times I’ll order a dairy free milk, preferably almond but occasionally oat. Definitely agree that the enjoyment of the moment is an ingredient. Seeing things from that perspective enhances the entire experience and makes it that much more luxurious too!

Ok first and foremost... "wintery play at the park"... I can see your toes!!! This is me, in Germany, in June celebrating that it´s finally somewhat summer-ish to give my toes a bit of fresh air...

Anyways. Onto your wonderful question

I´d have a Chai with a bit of the crappy milk, maybe not exciting but they make a pretty good one at a place very close to the playground we sometimes wander. So I´m totally getting the moment over milk question.

Side fact: When you post something on Substack I check the reading time and then decide all day in my head (I read them at night when little one is in bed) what bevy I'll have for it while reading ;) XX

I'm new here. What is the ideal milk? What do you usually use Peta?

I want this magic. And I'm here for the Luxury Body thread - take my money!

Im feeling this. I recently got a bit too hardcore into ‘I must eat this, I must not eat this’ all with good intentions to heal health issues which still need to be addressed but a few weeks in I found myself feeling crap , putting on weight, and feeling like an old eating disorder might shortly creep back in. So I let it all go, not completely but I am giving myself a break from these ‘rules’ about food. I just want to eat well and feel good. Sometimes it’s too much pressure and life is to be enjoyed.

I will continue working with holistic health providers and listening to my body till I find my jam.

My current go to on a cold day, sticky chai with macadamia milk 😋

Smiling to myself. Remembering your criteria of cold weather no DIY mods.

For me, in cold weather, I order a chai latte. Whatever dairy they've got. Leave the tea bag in for extra kapow.

On a road trip. I overslept and had to pack up quick and check out to get on the road. I needed some coffee shop love to stay alert keep driving. I was led to the cutest drive through coffee shop with 2 happy ladies wearing happy pink shirts. Ordered a large cold brew (it's Summer here and 90°F). When I got to the window the cold brew was dark and foamy as beer in a 36oz plastic cup!!! I asked them to leave room and they were so sweet to do so. I pulled over to the parking lot, got my ingredients travel bag. Poured the last of the grassfed half n half I bought from last stop's grocery. Added 4 scoops of grassfed collagen. The straw literally stood up straight without a lid!!!! It was the HAPPIEST COFFEE I HAVE EVER HAD. I literally giggled between sips!!! MASSIVE ENERGY WITHOUT JITTERS!! I sipped that coffee for hundreds of miles. I believe with all my heart that coffee was brewed with love by happy people. It got me through!! Kept me going!!!

LOL...I love this! Everyone is sooooo judgy on milk choices!! I can totally get standing at a cafe listening to everyones orders haha... I make my own at home too...but dare I say...I would order an almond milk...or soy milk (SHOCK HORROR) cap...used to be mochas...but then I thought...wouldn't it be cool if we just changed everything up totally and completely...habits can be good but when u spice up your every day habits, other strange things start changing too! Now...this is the 3rd time in the past few days I've heard about this matcha business...I walked past a cafe and saw this green frothy deliciousness in someones cup and asked them what it was...he said that THAT cafe has the BEST on the coast...so I guess that will be my next stop next week xx
