Your voice is so powerful to me- you are always speaking what I’m feeling but can’t always express. In so many ways we have a parallel journey. Thank you for listening to your inner voice and speaking out loud for so many of us. I am one of the silent listeners, trying to be more vocal and brave. You give so much courage. And although I am
further down the road in my motherhood journey I still take so much from you in that department. As I head towards empty nesting I think how I can help those coming behind. I am flailing in ways and thriving in others. Hopefully I can take courage from you to also impart some of my truths. Much love!
As always your words are an infusion of oxygen for me. I could go on, instead I will use the lift you've given me to show up, sharing all the mud (thinking of you and your babe in the beauty of the mud kitchen) and the masterpieces of all the messages and moments I've been growing into sharing with others. Thank You. xx
Hi Peta, thanks so much for sharing this podcast. Everything you have said and written deeply resonates. I have felt the pull towards Christianity (after being a self help / spiritual aficionado for years) but have felt embarrassed or scared of what people think to really take it further than some scrolls in the Bible app. I recently became a mother (I have a gorgeous 4 month old boy) and a fire has just lit up inside of me to protect motherhood and be a loving mother, respect my baby and to be with my child etc etc. It saddens me to no end that our society has become so brainwashed to think that motherhood is an awful job, depressing and thankless and uncool and that women should go back to work as soon as possible and put their baby into day care! I couldn’t think of anything worse. Sorry I digress, all of this to say, I would now call myself a closet conservative too and your podcast is giving me the courage to say what I really think and believe in my heart. I also felt the pull to share my views on the joys of motherhood and what an important job it is and started a Substack last week on the topic! Thanks again for sharing and I look forward to more eps. x
