I decided last night I would finally start writing on Substack. I’m currently standing in my bathroom, towel still around my wet hair, and felt full on electricity travel through my whole body in the most delicious way as I read this post and got to your & God’s gentle nudge to do the thing. Thanks Peta. I’m a new paid subscriber but I frickin love being here so much already.
Peta, OH MY WORD!!! I have been writing a a newsletter since June and it took off. Women like you have inspired me to take myself more seriously as a writer and join Substack, which I did 9 days ago!! I literally just sat and sent a voicey to my bestie while reading your piece today. It was...exquisite. I felt so seen as a writer and the way we see the world. Also, your courage to praise God publicly is part of what gave me the courage to begin to as well as I come back to my Christian roots. I thank God for you and your words!!!! Congrats!
I would love to know what your favorite newsletters are! Agree substack is a welcome relief for my nervous system - a much deeper way to connect with more intention.
I’m falling in love with writing again, for now it’s putting pen to paper in my little diary that’s doing it for me. And its mostly inspired by subscribing to you here on Substack. I love reading your posts, its feels like such a cosy little moment to absorb your words on here as opposed to the over stimulation and attention-span draining consumption on Instagram 😅! Still do it too tho lol.
Yesterday I listened to one of your audios from a little while back where you mentioned one idea you were playing with was holding writing & movement retreats in Italy and wow I can’t even describe how much of a full mind/body/soul YESSS that idea gives me 🥹😍🙏🏽 I so hope that’s meant to come into fruition.
I love to write and I do so since the age of 9-ish in journals (also had started various novels.... but well never ended them).
Since some years (I'm 26 now) I've been experimenting more with poetry, sometimes simple songs and I just love words. But also I never really share them much since I don't know how, where and with who.
You inspired me to give Substack a try... although I must say I created the profile three weeks ago and never posted anything. Because ... the name, the content, the language (I grew up trilingual and although it's huge gift I got I definitely struggle to choose the "right" language for my writing)... basically me overthinking it.
So thanks for the sweet nudge! Feels directly spoken to my heart.
And I love receiving your entries here always!! I always feel like a child unwrapping a gift in the most beautiful paper!! Just inspiring at so many levels. YOU. Your way of living, seeing and loving. And your writing as the writing per se too.

"We’ve got art to make. Consistent, beautiful, humble, life giving, art."
Peta I am printing this and placing it on the desk in my studio.
