So beautiful babe. And I LOVE the comment your pastor said about authority! It’s so trueeeee and it’s so freeing to submit.

When i feel that push-pull between who I’ve been and what I think people seem to expect of me, given that I have a new heart now ... I try to remember this:

“For am I now seeking the approval of man, or of God? Or am I trying to please man? If I were still trying to please man, I would not be a servant of Christ.”

‭‭Galatians‬ ‭1‬:‭10‬ ‭

It’s tricky! Lucky his arms are so loving each time we take a tumble xo

Love you!

👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 Full permission to be a lifestyle blogger babe! Also full permission to live your most joyful lifestyle without blogging ✌🏼 And of course full permission to fumble and “not know” your brand right now and have no real intentions with “sharing” other than “cos”, whilst you figure it all out too 🤸

As you say, your real self and your digital self, whilst intertwined and authentic, are not the same thing.

I suspect your people will simply hang around throughout whatever comes (or doesn’t), just because you’re an awesome human and they like you (like I do).. That can be enough sometimes 💜

Enjoy your reorganising!

I just loved reading this. Our journeys have been so similar over the last couple years (from what you’ve shared) so I’m just relating to so, so much of this. I get itttt! And whatever you’re doing, fumbling or not, just keep doing it xo

I’m most excited about your work now more than ever even if turns into lifestyle blogging! Though many have come to you to read something profound I’ve always been intrigued by your work because of your honesty and willingness to share. Fire emoji, single word captions, whatever I’m sticking around! Seeing and reading about other’s testimonials of what God has done is one of the most enjoyable things to read about in my opinion because of the hope that’s intertwined in it all. Looking forward to seeing how life unfolds in your new pursuit of Christ.

Resonates as always. Our new years message was also based around the idea that without Direction from God there is no Destination. Leaning into that authority has definitely allowed me to breathe easier. We’re not just here figuring it out on our own.

Love to you and the fam throughout this New Year

As always thank you for sharing. I relate so much. Even just to how odd it feels to have to fit yourself into an Instagram bio or come up with new copy when you’re becoming new. Your work continues to inspire me to invite Jesus more into my work. More God, less me is inspiring. It’s freeing. And I love that Joy is a fruit of the spirit. I too grapple with “is joy my desire?” or “Gods desire for me?” “Is joy important to God?” And then I come back to how he included it as a fruit of the spirit and so remind myself *of course it’s important to him.* Thank you for sharing. Your honesty and sharing your journey as God renews you and remolds is wildly comforting to read. Knowing we’re not alone. I 10000% relate to other self help being exhausting because there is no authority. YES.

This writing made me think of a book I’m currently reading and enjoying very much called ‘Art + Faith’ by Makoto Fujimura.
