I’m just on my way back from my daughter Sol’s first Tae Kwon Do sparring competition. She was so strong, so agile and so brave and we are so proud of her. Her coaches noticed in class how good she was at point sparring and so they invited her along to compete. She jumped at it.

My dad came along, gave her some tips and cheered her on— so that was special. He’s pretty pro when it comes to 1:1 combat and I even picked up some tips from him— you know, in case I ever need to get into a fisty cuff on the street.

I’m going to write more about it, and the beauties of living close to family, shortly. But right now we’re driving back in the car, and I just wanted to update you on a teeny house keeping thing.

I was just made aware that you haven’t been able to comment on recent posts— oops! I was wondering why I was getting so many emails instead— although, you know I don’t mind at all! I love hearing from you, and your responses are always so personal, thoughtful and lovely.

I’ve fixed it now and everyone is able to comment. You don’t have to be a paid subscriber and for now, you can’t be anyway.

For clarity, my paid subscription is paused again (paid subs were informed a while ago) because I just love writing for everyone. You’d think I’d have figured this out last time ;) So in case you’ve been wondering why you can’t upgrade, that’s why.
